Started by a Navy Mom
Sea Sisters began when a Navy mom noticed something that didn’t sit right — sailors and Marines graduating without family in the stands. The cost of being there was keeping parents away from one of the most important moments in their child’s life. What started as a simple desire to help has grown into a mission: no sailor should graduate alone.

A Moment No Parent Should Miss
Every year, more than 40,000 sailors graduate from the Navy’s only boot camp at Great Lakes. For too many of them, the stands are missing the people who matter most. Military service demands sacrifice from the whole family, and for some parents, the cost of being there puts graduation day out of reach. Every sailor and Marine deserves to look into the crowd and see their family.

For a sailor or Marine, graduation is the finish line of one of the hardest things they’ve ever done. For a parent, it’s the moment they finally get to see their child again and tell them how proud they are. Sea Sisters exists to make sure that moment happens.
